So today as I stood in the kitchen making bread in my brand-spanking-new Bosch mixer that Santa brought me, I couldn't figure out if I should laugh or cry that I've turned into my mother. The day has arrived.

That thing rocks! My bread is awesome - even the kids and John noticed it and we ate an entire loaf for lunch today. I finally feel redeemed for the past 6 years of making bread and it being so-so - burnt on the outside and doughy in the middle- it wasn't just my fault as a crummy bread maker after all! Now we'll all gain 15 lbs instead of losing 15 from eating all these dang carbs. Yum!

I had that same moment today - except mine was because I was singing primary songs to my girls (with much enthusiasm) while they pretended not to know me. :-) I told Craig, "Wow, I've turned into my mom!" and he said, "there are worse people to be."
haha I already feel like I'm turning into her. ahhh haha but YAY for getting a Bosch!! those things are the best!

he he.... will you be grinding your wheat too... just like your Mum! Nothing better than hot bread. We used t have raspberry jam and cream on top when we got a hot loaf growing up.... bad!
Your post made me laugh- ah, your battle for the bosch! I've had great luck with bread from the beginning- but then, I've had a bosch from the beginning too. Happy eating!
